Jul 18 2019 How much can you earn as a Blockchain Engineer in Japan?!
Last week we had another IT learning session about Blockchain technology. Our team invited Mr. Alex Tsai, Co-founder and CEO of BeepNow Inc., to enlighten us and answer our questions when it comes to Blockchain technology.
It is part of our “Go beyond the work” initiative to hold 2 IT learning sessions every month and everyone in our team are highly encouraged to attend them. We believe that this helps us understand the positions each client have entrusted with us. By understanding and getting a better idea of what the position is all about, we become more confident in finding the right person to execute the job. We believe that this will also help us talk to the candidates better and understand their technical experiences and what they will be able to contribute to the company.
This time Mr. Alex Tsai talked about blockchain technology and its application to different industries. So in a nutshell we got a better understanding of what blockchain really is.
Blockchain is basically a database with the ability to provide secured verifiable data and makes it easier to track transactions.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBILITIES AND THE FUTURE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY?
We have all heard about the financial tech sector and how blockchain is being optimized but it still has a lot of potential applications and can be applied to different sectors. According to Mr. Tsai, these are some of the possibilities of incorporating the use of Blockchain Technology which are either being developed or explored.
1.) BLOCKCHAIN TECH x INSURANCE INDUSTRY
The ability of Blockchain to secure verifiable data and its transactions are perfect if it will be applied to the insurance industry. Take health insurance for example, a very sensitive and confidential sector. We can use blockchain technology to track transactions, check and verify personal information and medical history attached to those transactions.
2.) BLOCKCHAIN TECH x USED AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY
In the automobile industry, or at least in buying and selling used ones, background checking and profiling of the cars can be made easier and more reliable. This lessens the concerns and worries of second hand buyers.
3.) BLOCKCHAIN TECH x HUMAN RESOURCES
Although some companies are already exploring and developing in this sector, there are still a lot of possibilities with using Blockchain when it comes to human resources. This can be a game changer when it comes to doing background check and cross referencing experiences of candidates. This isn’t just limited to hiring as well. The everyday transactions or activity output of employees might be easier to track and more efficient. There are still a lot of promising application when it comes to human resources and because of the secure and credible verification aspect Blockchain may offer this could be a gamechanger for businesses.
4.) BLOCKCHAIN TECH x AIRCRAFT
One of the most important aspects of aircraft is its maintenance and Blockchain might be able to provide a much more convenient and verifiable way to keep these on track. Aircrafts wear and tear records can be made secure and tracked properly all throughout its life expectancy.
5.) BLOCKCHAIN TECH x BUY and SELL
Much like the case of used automobile industry, expensive items like art pieces can benefit from this technology. Tracking transactions and even its price fluctuations can be features that can be advantageous for this sector. Of course it goes without saying that tracking authenticity of art is also very valuable and this technology makes it possible.
WHICH PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE SHOULD I LEARN TO BE A BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPER?
Information technology itself changes very often and the turnover is fast. You have to always keep up and there is always something new. Much like how some programming languages are used. It still depends from company to company when it comes to what programming language you will be using on a project but here are what Blockchain engineers commonly use.
It is always best to keep in mind that companies differ and it also depends what frameworks you will be using for the projects assigned to you but being updated to what popular programming languages are used and new out there gives you an extra edge.
