Mar 13 2018 Active Connector Hosts Third Panel Discussion for Engineers
Active Connector hosted a Panel Discussion with Computer Vision Engineers as part of the series of career building seminars. The event focused on job hunting advice and opportunities for students and professionals exploring job opportunities in this field in Japan.
(Tokyo, Japan Tuesday 1st March 2018)
Following on from the successes of earlier panel discussions* on Career Building Advice for IT professionals and Job Opportunities in Japan’s Artificial Intelligence Industry, Active Connector hosted a Panel Discussion with Computer Vision Engineers. The event focused on job hunting advice and opportunities for students and professionals exploring job opportunities in this field in Japan.
As March marks the beginning of Japan’s traditional job-hunting system, the event provided first-hand advice and insight into how aspiring computer vision professionals can effectively build or shift their careers into this field. The speakers were both Active Connector members from Egypt and the United States with a combined 20yrs experience in Japan – both as a student transitioning into academia and as a freelancer transitioning into full-time permanent jobs. The speakers talk and Q&A was followed by a networking session over light refreshments and pizza.
Active Connector’s hosts’ regular events with student associations and academic institutions to help international students and professionals explore meaningful job opportunities in Japan. Events and career fairs to support international students with job-hunting in Japan organised in the past have included collaborations across the country with students in Hokkaido, Nagoya, Niigata and Tokyo.
