This company was founded with the vision of changing not only Japan but also the world in the energy field. The CEO saw the future in renewable energy and started to prepare for launching his own company by joining one of the largest wind energy venture firms, back in 2006. After the Tohoku Earthquake, he was convinced that renewable energy is the solution to solve nuclear energy challenges in Japan and overseas.

They set themselves the target of generating an amount of electricity equivalent to a single nuclear reactor (approximately 1,000 megawatts) by the year 2017. Several years have passed since the company was established, and today they are involved in photovoltaic projects that produce approximately 700 megawatts of electricity (as of September 2015). They are also starting to become involved in wind power and small-scale hydroelectric power projects, and are making steady progress towards helping renewable energy take root in society. One of the services that the company also provides is project development counseling and execution, with comprehensive services that includes coordination with land owners, field research, negotiation with energy companies, getting permissions etc.  The company established a joint venture with a German company, aiming at leveraging from the expertise that Germany has built in this field as a country and particularly the partner’s company unique simulation technology.

For instance, there are employees in their 70s. Also, there are many foreign employees, and their nationalities range from German, Spanish, Turkish, and Australian. Job Description

Overall, the below various specific responsibilities follow under the umbrella of customers’ satisfaction:

- Being the customers contact point for after sales phase

- Deal with claims and have commercial responsibility for claims management

- Shift projects into the after sales phase and take over responsibility of projects after handing over power plants to customers

- Follow up with the specific steps/ actions below:

1) Deal with the analysis of the issue, assessment of potential damage, perform legal assessment, tackle urgencies, contact customer

2) Develop strategies for solutions

3) Drive progress and monitor the time, budget and quality of plans.

4) Close issue/claims and communicate with customer

- Create and maintain a claim information system with specific descriptions, including deadlines.

- Conduct/oversee the claim data management and supplier notification process – also give feedback to other parts of the organization for internal improvement and provide data for supplier evaluation

- Perform cost estimation, budgeting and do reporting

- Coordinate all necessary actions with specific departments for solving after sales issues (Engineering, Legal, Site Management, Purchasing, Suppliers and external Experts) and organize replacements and logistics

- Conduct the commercial management including invoicing

- Manage suppliers and contractors (after sales related activities).

- Act as an interface between EPC and O&M parts during the warranty period.

 

■ Requirements:

-Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience

-Preferred working experience with solar plants

-To have one of the following: experience with construction management, operation and maintenance of plants, engineering or project management

-Technical qualification or experience

-Project management skills

-Ability for self-organization

-Business Japanese level

-Driver’s license

■ Conditions:

-Salary: based on your experiences and skills, annual salary ranges from 4,000,000 JPY to 6,000,000 JPY

-Bonus twice a year

-Salary promotion: once a year

-Various social insurances

-Work Place: Tokyo or Fukuoka

-Working hours: 9:00~18:00

-Holidays: 120 days in total (in a year), Saturday and Sunday, National holiday, end of year and new year’s.

-Paid leaves: 10 days during your first year.
