The company was established in 1970s as the technology focused think tank. They are providing ranges of research as well as consulting in the field of energy, environment, transportation system etc.…


The company is a part of the major Japanese automobile’s company. With its solid background and network with this automobile company, their research has been widely used to advance the technology that we see today.

In the energy field, besides renewable energy, they also provide research on use of hydrogen, cold fusion etc.,

In the field of transportation, they provide research on energy charge, rare metal for automobiles etc.…


They provide service to national government, foundation as well as to private companies. They sometimes work on research project together with universities and local government.

Job Description

Job Description:

Collect information that would be needed by the clients (mainly automobile companies) that have already expanded its business abroad or are currently considering to go abroad

Make a presentation and give consultancy to clients if needed

Conduct field research abroad, conduct hearing from experts from various fields (university professors, local companies etc.…)

Make a report of what you have researched, share the update, manage the project

Depending on your Japanese level (if your Japanese is business level or above), you would accompany client meeting with your senior managers.


Career Path

First you would start as researcher, then senior researcher position, then manager position.

Once you become manager, you would be managing the project all by yourself.

You are expected to become a professional in the field in 5 year’s time



There are three specialists’ positions based on your specialty. You can choose one of the below specialists’ truck


1)   Automobile Specialist:

・basic knowledge about automobile

・Knowledge about materials, system design, power train, ITS, engine, electric engineering

・Conversational level Japanese: Able to communicate with other colleagues (You do not need to be able to write Japanese report or talk to clients in Japanese)


2)   Economic and Finance specialist:

・Knowledge about economics, finance, international relations

・Great analytical skills of the above topic

・Conversational level Japanese: Able to communicate with other colleagues (You do not need to be able to write Japanese report or talk to clients in Japanese)



3)   Energy specialist:

・Basic knowledge about energy technology

・Knowledge about oil, gas, industry trend, policy, renewable energy, district energy technology

・Conversational level Japanese: Able to communicate with other colleagues (You do not need to be able to write Japanese report or talk to clients in Japanese)


Personality that would be a great fit are:

・Very active (can state his/her opinions without any hesitation)

・Able to handle multiple tasks (can manage multiple projects in the future)



・Annual salary sample (however the exact amount would be decided based on your skills/experiences)

New graduate level to 2-3 years of experiences: 3,500,000 JPY

6 to 10 years of experiences: 4,500,000 JPY

You would be also getting overtime work payment

・Holiday: Saturday and Sunday, national holiday, end of year and new year holiday


・Over time work: the hours of overtime work varies from the volume of your project. In average, people work for 20 hours/month to sometimes up to 40 to 50 hour/month in the case that the project is very busy. There is no pressure for you to stay at the office just because the boss is staying at the office. You can declare how many hours of overtime work needed during the weekly meeting where your managers would approve. Busiest time of the work tend to be February and March at the company.
