Job Description

■Job description:

Looking for a Quantitative Analyst that will be part of the Data Analytics team in the Strategy department of the company. This team seeks to apply Advanced Analytics techniques to objectively improve the performance of the business. In doing so, the team is working together with other departments in identifying the right business questions, categorizing and preparing the relevant data, using advanced analytics to analyze solutions with different modelling techniques (f.e. logistic regressions, random forest, text mining and sentiment analysis) and presenting the results in a way that is easy to understand by management and ready to be implemented by the relevant departments.

・Gaining practical programming experience in programs such as R and QlikView.

・Ability to gain an understanding on how an international life insurance business operates.

・The ability to work together with (external) consultants to apply the latest techniques in advanced analytics

 

■Requirements:

・Some years of professional experience (preferably in the field of analytics/data science)

・A quantitative/mathematical background with programming experience and high analytical skills.

・Can join the firm ASAP (Ideally from March 2017)

 

* It is prefer to have below (But not necesarily required)

・Experience in R and SQL programming.

・Knowledge and experience of the (life) insurance business.

・ Ideally with some level of Japanese, but not required.

・Experience/background in data science

・Great quantitative analytical skills

・Curious, flexible, open for new approaches and good communication and collaboration skills

 

■Conditions:

・Annual expected salary: 6 million JPY or above

・Various social insurances  

・Work hours: 9:00-18:00

・Holiday: Saturday, Sunday, National Holiday, End of year and new year holiday, Special Leaves
