The sixth session is with a senior official from Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We are having two special guests this time, they are both in charge of international student matter from diplomatic point of view.
They can share how they built their careers in the Ministry as well as how their educational background contributed to their job. Also both of the speakers are female, so you can hear what it is like to work in Japanese government as women.

She graduated from Waseda University with BA in Law. She joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. She had a career in Oseania Division, UN Policy division as well as working in New York at political section. She took Maternity leave for some time and came back to the Ministry. She is now working in Exchange Program division under Minister’s Secretariat.
She graduated from Kyoto University in BA in Law. She joined the Ministry in 2008 and started her career in Economic Treaty Division. She was sent to France as a language and cultural learning and got MA in Politics and Development in Africa and developing countries from Science Po Bordeaux. She worked in Afghanistan Assitance Division after she came back from France and now working in Exchange Program Division, particularly on JET program and diplomacy through sports.
